Nicaraguan exports to Europe grow in volume

Nicaragua's exports to Europe have grown 65 percent in volume since the association agreement between Central American and the European Union came into effect last year.

Despite the increase in volume, income from the exports has dropped 2.2 percent, caused by an drop in the international price of Nicaraguan export products.

From August to December last year, Nicaragua exported goods to Europe worth $113 million, compared with $115 million from the same period in 2012.
