Nicaraguan sugar mills get $80 million energy boost

Nicaraguan sugar mills will invest $80 million to double their production rates and renewable energy supply to the country's electricity network.

The four mills operating in Nicaragua will provide in conjunction between 130 and 150 Megawatts of renewable energy.

Forty percent of the energy will be used by the mills, and the 70 percent remaining will be sold to the rest of the country.
