Nicaraguan tourism counts $100 million cost of political violence

Nicaragua's tourism industry says that a first estimate of losses caused by the recent political violence amount to $100 million.

Tour operators say that some 80 percent of packages have been cancelled, while restaurants say that their sales are running at only 10 percent of normal.
