North and Central America to unite on energy

The United States, Mexico and three other Central American states intend to press on with energy integration within the framework of the World Economic Forum on Latin America, Mexican Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Meade announced.

Meade did not specify the form that energy integration will take. Mexico and Guatemala, meanwhile, are planning to construct an estimated $800 million 373-mile natural gas pipeline.
