Northern Triangle is a winner in exports

Central America’s Northern Triangle — best known in the international media for its violence and poverty — were the only Latin American countries to increase their exports in this year’s first quarter.

The big hitters of the Central American economy, Costa Rica and Panama, reported sharp losses in their exports over the period.
