Plans to increase capacity of Central America’s Siepac energy grid to 600MW from 300MW may continue on the back burner for the near term due to the build-out of member countries’ power generation parks.
According to results from grid operator EOR’s 2019-28 regional generation and transmission expansion roadmap, short term national generation plans “contain a distinct policy of self-sufficiency,” BNamericas reports.
