One in five Guatemalans in formal employment

One in five Guatemalans is in formal employment, according to official data.

The country is looking for ways to promote policies that will help improve the life quality of the country's workers, said Hernán Girón, president of a committee that coordinates trade, industry and finance associations.

The committee organized a meeting with business and union leaders from several productive sectors to talk about topics related to Guatemala's work environment.
