One in four young people in Central America neither work nor study

Some 800,000 young Hondurans aged under 30 are part of the "ni ni (neither, nor) generation", dubbed because they neither work nor study.

The figure in Honduras is the highest in Central America. It means that a third of all young people in the country are either unemployed or do not study.

The proportion of the "ni ni" generation throughout Central America is 27 percent.
