Onyx to break up 22-megawatt solar energy project in Honduras into smaller plants

Tuesday, January 3, 2012

The US-based solar energy company Onyx announced a new plan to break up its 22-megawatt solar photovoltaic project into smaller plants on the island of Roatan, Honduras.

The company cites the older electricity distribution system on the island as a factor in the formulation of this plan.

Onyx states that it plans to use a repository system for the larger plants and may decide to utilize its new "Plug-N-Play" module for smaller output areas.
