Ormat to Start Honduras geothermal plant next year

Ormat Technologies is continuing with the construction of the 35 megawatt Platanares geothermal project in Honduras. This project is expected to reach commercial operation by the end of next year and will sell its power in collaboration with the national utility of Honduras.

The project is expected to generate annual revenues of approximately $33 million under a 15-year agreement.
