Outlook for 2011 is positive for Costa Rica's tourism, with 9 percent growth

The outlook for the 2011 tourism season is positive, with a forecast by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute of a 9 percent growth in tourist arrivals.
According to the institute, 2010 was a recovery year, as tourist arrivals reached the peak of the 2008 season when more than 2 million arrivals were recorded.
The regions with the greatest demand by tourists are the Central Valley, Central Pacific, the Northern Plains and Guanacaste.
