Pacific Rim Mining loss rises as costs mount in legal battle with El Salvador

Canada’s Pacific Rim Mining posted a larger quarterly loss as it continued to wage a legal battle against the government of El Salvador.

 

Pacific Rim had been almost entirely focused on El Salvador from 2002 until 2008 when government inaction stalled the company's flagship El Dorado project.

 

The El Dorado project is now the subject of a legal dispute under a free trade agreement covering Central America.
