Panama airport to be boosted by $800 million

Panama’s government announced that it is speeding up the expansion of the Tocumen international airport with an $800 million investment.
The project is due to run for 14 years. Tourism is the driving force; in January alone arrivals were up by 12 percent.
In addition, four provincial airports are to be modernized with investment totaling $137 million between this year and 2014.
