Panama and Chile head regional competitiveness
Chile and Panama head the most recent competitiveness index for Latin America by the ADEN international business school.
Chile scored 81.4 points from a maximum of 100 and Panama achieved 76 points.
Other scores from Central America were Costa Rica with 71.8 points, El Salvador 62, Guatemala 60, Honduras 59.2 and Nicaragua 57.8.
