Panama and Cuba sign framework document of understanding to expand existing accord on commercial relations

Thursday, November 3, 2011

Panama and Cuba signed a framework document of understanding to expand the agreement reached two years ago to strengthen commercial relations between the two countries.

The document was penned by the Panamanian Trade and Industries minister, Ricardo Quijano, and the Cuban first deputy minister for Foreign Trade and Investment, Orlando Hernández Guillén.

"The negotiations will start in February 2012 and will conclude in March. We think we can have an agreement including more clauses and products to trade between Panama and Cuba," Quijano added.
