Panama and Peru in rapid-growth double act

The free trade agreement between Panama and Peru has generated $264 million this year, according to the Peruvian consulate in Panama.

The positive result motivated the Peruvian government to create a program called Exporta Fácil, which aims to cut red tape for smaller
companies who want to take advantage of the agreement.

The economy of Peru has grown at a rate of 6.3 percent this year, while Panama's economy grew 10.4 percent in the first half of the
year, placing them among the countries with most economic growth in Latin America.
