Panama approves land sales in Colón Free Zone

Despite protests, Panama's National Assembly approved a change that allows sales of land within the Colón Free Zone.

The debate among legislators was on the use of the money that the land sales will generate.

About $100 million a year is expected to be generated, of which $35 million will be for the Colón municipality.
