Panama approves Trinidad and Tobago accord

Panama's Assembly approved in a first debate an partial scope agreement with Trinidad and Tobago, the Panamanian Trade Industry said.

Both countries' governments signed the agreement in October 2013, which aims to allow preferential access to each others' exports.

Panamanian exports to Trinidad and Tobago reached $7.1 million in 2013, and imported from the Caribbean nation $11 million in the same year.
