Panama bank deposits rise to $8.4 billion

Panama’s banking sector completed April with $8.4 billion in deposits, which represents an increase of $448 million, or 5.6 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year.
The assets of the banks, mainly composed of credit portfolios, also grew. They totaled $11.7 billion, 6 percent more than in April of 2015.
