Panama banks leaked information on corruption cases, says regulator

Several banks in Panama’s financial sector leaked information on the transactions carried out by people and companies that were apparently involved in corruption cases that have plagued the country, the nation’s banking regulator said.
But the regulator added that no harm was done and it already knew about the leaks. Nobody did anything that could be construed as illegal, it said in a statement.
