Panama banks liquidity is excellent: Authorities

Panamanian banks' average monthly liquidity was deemed 'excellent' by bankers and the country's banks superintendency, SBP.

From January to November last year, banks reported liquidity of 59 percent.

Another aspect that helped banks' performance was an increase in lending, of which the highest amount was for mortgages, with $1.2 billion up to November last year.
