Panama: best airport

Panama’s Tocumen International offers the region’s best passenger experience, according to 2015 edition of World Airport Awards.

Tocumen received prizes for Best Central American Airport and Best Airport Staff.

The award program is run by international airport consultancy Skytrax.

In the region, Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria International Airport placed second, followed by Arnulfo Romero in El Salvador.
Guatemala City’s Aurora airport was last. No airport in Honduras was included.

Globally, the best airport was Changi in Singapore, while SSR en Mauritius is last amongst the top 100.

The worldwide ranking is based on interviews with over 13 million passengers in 550 airports and 112 countries, including issues of access, comfort and safety (figures in parentheses indicate the position of the Central American airports out of a list of ten).
