Panama brings natural gas to region in $250 million deal

Panama’s government agreed with Spain’s Repsol and local company CNG Clean Energy to import natural gas.\

The first stage will be the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal. The LNG will be transported by ship to the Las Minas bay on the Caribbean coast.\

The regasification terminal will require an investment of $250 million and should be ready to come on stream by 2014.\
