Panama Canal backlog of contracts amounts to $4 billion, with more deals to come

The Panama Canal Authority has adjudicated contracts valued at more than $4 billion as part of its expansion program, according to its quarterly report.
 
Tenders currently in process including the dredging of the northern Pacific access to new locks.
 
Another project on the drawing board is the demolition and relocation of works in the area of the Pedro Miguel locks which will be affected by the construction of a small dam.
