Panama Canal consortium seeks $3.6 billion more

The consortium that built the third set of locks in the recently widened Panama Canal is claiming $3.6 billion in compensation from the Panama Canal Authority.
That sum well exceeds the $3.1 billion of the contract that was signed in 2009. The dispute has now moved into the arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, but there appears to be no end in sight.
