Panama Canal expansion may benefit Pensacola port. Florida transportation chief checks out opportunities

\ Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Ananth Prasad visited the Port of Pensacola as part of a statewide tour prior to the widening of the Panama Canal.\ \ Prasad is visiting Florida ports because of the potential economic boom officials hope the state gets after expansion of the canal is completed in 2014.\ \ 'As the Panama Canal ... expansion happens, the industry is going to rebalance,' he said.
