Panama Canal expansion works to end in 2015: GUPC

A recent agreement between the Panama Canal Authority and the Sacyr-led consortium GUPC will allow for the Canal expansion project to be finished by 2015 without interruptions.

Some 10,000 jobs will be recovered under the terms of the new accord, Sacyr President Manuel Manrique said.

GUPC said that the expansion project is currently 70 percent complete.
