Panama Canal receives $1 billion in annual revenue

The Panama Canal generated $1 billion in income for the 2012 fiscal year, according to the Canal Authority, ACP.

The figure shows an 8.6 increase compared to the previous fiscal year.

The 2012 fiscal year started on October 1, 2011 until September 30, 2012.

Since the administration of the Canal was handed to Panama 13 years ago, the Canal has generated some $7.6 billion.
