Panama City is number one living location for living in a regen beset by insecurity

Panama City is the best place to live in Central America, according to the 2011 World Quality of Living Index, published by the Mercer consultancy.

Latin American cities rank low in the index because of political instability, inequality and economic uncertainty, Mercer said.

The survey places emphasis on public transport such as transport, housing quality, the political climate and education.
