Panama City leads in quality of Life

The best to live in Central America is Panama City, followed by San José, Costa Rica , according to the World Survey on Quality of Living 2011, published last month by Mercer Consulting.

Vienna, Austria leads the global list is, followed by Zurich and Auckland.

Insecurity, political instability, inequality and economic uncertainty are factors which keep Central America low on the list, which takes New York City as the basis of comparison.

Among the aspects considered in the report are public services and transport, housing quality, the political environment and education.


The figures represent the position on the global list of each Central American city.
