Panama Colon Free Trade Zone faces crisis
Panama's Colón Free Trade Zone is facing one of its worst moments as it continues with a conflict against Colombian tariffs and Venezuelan debt.
The two South American nations are the trade zone's largest markets, and the conflict has caused the loss of some 3,000 jobs, according to Severo Sousa, former president of the Colón Trade Zone's Users' association.
The loss of jobs also comes after several companies have stopped their operations due to the Venezuela and Colombia conflicts.
