Panama deals a knockout to Costa Rica in terms of building infrastructure

Monday, November 15, 2010

The award of a $1.4 million contract for the construction of the Panama City Metro is Panama’s most recent advance in the development of modern infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Costa Rica lags in the construction of highways, ports and other projects that could raise the efficiency of the economy.

Costa Rica has done well in some of the difficult things, such as high-quality education and universal health services.

However, it has been unable to achieve many relatively simple things, such as a modern highway or a bridge.
