Panama declares a national emergency

President Laurentino Cortizo of Panama has declared a national emergency for the coronavirus in Panama. On a national TV network, he urged the use of teleworking and called on the population to stay calm.

The president also ordered to establish exemptions from tariffs of medicines and other supplies necessary to face the epidemic, Prensa Latina reports.
