Panama expects trade boost from Canada accord

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

Panama will have the opportunity of increasing exports to Canada, once a free trade agreement between the two countries comes into effect next week.

Trade between the two nations has been developing positively since 2010, due to an increase in Panama's gold exports.

In 2011, Panama exported $121 million worth of goods to Canada, while it imported from that country $86 million.
