Panama has highest broadband penetration in region

Panama leads Central America in broadband penetration, and is among the top five in Latin America, according to the International Development Bank.

Panama's broadband penetration is currently 5.05 percent, and is followed in the region by Costa Rica, with 4.23 percent.

From 2007 to 2014, internet access in Panama grew 43 percent.
