Panama has highest investment rate in Latin America

Last year, investment in Panama reached 45 percent of GDP, the highest of all in Latin America, according to the Inter-American Development Bank.

Most Latin American countries have investment rates lower than 25 percent, as have the former communist nations of Europe.
