Panama hopes for publicity bonanza from World Youth Day

The upcoming World Youth Day of the Catholic Church is sure to generate a huge boost in tourist income, says Antonio Alfaro president of the National Tourism Chamber.

In an interview with the daily Panamá América, Alfaro ensures that all the money spent on publicity  by the nation's Tourism Authority over the last
20 years will not match the value achieved by the publicity accompanied by the pilgrims to the event.

World Youth Day is being held on January 22-27. The organizers reckons that it will generate $250 million in income.
