Panama hosts Star Alliance leaders

Global airline network Star Alliance held its first meeting in Panama this week.

During the three-day gathering, the vice presidents of the 26 member airlines applauded Copa Airlines' efforts to consolidate Panama as the 'hub of the Americas'.

Mark F. Schwab, director of Star Alliance, said the group is now focusing on creating ties with Brazil and India.
