Panama is increasing hydroelectric power capacity to 1,177 megawatts

Almost 19 hydroelectric schemes are being built in Panama, acc ording to a report from the Economy ministry.

The document also points out that Panama has plenty more potential for more projects in coming years.

Projects already underway or on the drawing board will offer 1,177 megawatts of new capacity.
