Panama launches tourism promotion in China

Panama this week launched a tourism promotion on Chinese social networks Weibo and WeChat, as well as via the Him mobile application.

The canal, nature, culture and tradition, will be some of the main topics, according to the Panama Tourism Authority.

Information about Panama will be published in China every Friday, said the project manager, Sandra Chang.

The WeChat multipurpose platform has more than one billion active Chinese users.

A microblogging platform, Weibo has more than 400 million active users.

Part of the VisitPanama platform, Him would offer Panamanian data such as destinations, schedules, weather, and operators.
