Thursday, July 14, 2011

Panama will head economic growth in Latin America with an 8.7 percent rate this year.

For the region as a whole, growth is expected to be 4.7 percent, according to the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

The commission says that growth is expected to be spurred by domestic demand. Its report adds a warning on future macroeconomic challenges that might lie in wait.
