Panama leads in attracting investment

The expansion of the canal as part of a major logistics strategy, along with a sturdy financial-services sector, has made Panama the region’s leader in attracting foreign direct investment.
Panamanisn FDI increased 33% last year, compared with 2009 (figures refer to 2010 FDI in millions of dollars, according to the Latin American Economic Commission.
