Panama lets rip with record budget of $13 billion

A $13 billion national budget for next year was presented by Panama’s Economy minister, Alberto Vallarino to the national assembly.

The proposal, which faces three debates in the assembly, represents a 23 percent increase on the 2010 budget.

Vallarino said that the budget is Panama’s biggest ever, though at first it had been planned to make it bigger still.
