Panama nationalizes Mi Bus transport system

Juan Carlos Varela, the president of Panama, announced the nationalization of the Mi Bus public transport system. The acquisition amounts to $49.7 million plus $245 million in debt.
Mi Bus has faced serious problems. It will now be a subsidiary of the Panama Metro, under a concession by First Transit, a US company that operates Greyhound.
