Panama orders big discounts on electricity

A decrease of between 30 and 50 percent in the electricity distribution rate for more than a million customers, was announced by Panama's president Laurentino Cortizo.

The 30% decrease will apply for small companies that consume less than 1,000 kWh. The measure aims to alleviate the problems that firms face amid the coronavirus crisis, BN Americas reports.
