Panama's pineapple exports, one of the country's top fruits, dropped 51 percent from January to October last year.
Sales of the fruit reached $26.4 million, compared with the $37 million from the same period in 2013.
The drop comes amid an economic crisis in Europe, the fruit's largest market.
