Panama ports handle 2.3 percent more cargo

Panamanian ports handled 5.62 million TEUs, 20-foot containers, during the January-October period this year, the country's port authority said.
The figure represents a 2.3 percent growth compared with the same period last year.
Cargo movement at Balboa port grew 4.2 percent in the period, while Cristóbal port registered a 1.6 percent drop.
