Panama private construction down 48 percent in first quarter

Construction activity in the private sector of Panama fell 48 percent in the first quarter of 2018 in relation to the same period of last year.

The decline does not include State projects like Metro Line 2 and the Tocumen International Terminal 2. But the figures come in the midst of a construction workers strike that has dragged on for three weeks.
