Tuesday, January 3, 2012

Panama's economy did well in 2011 and this year it aims to maintain its leadership in Latin America with 7.5 percent growth.

So says Frank De Lima, the economy minister. De Lima said that Panama received $3 billion in foreign direct investment last year.

In tourism, more dynamism is expected. "We hope that this year Panama will beat Costa Rica in the number of foreign visitors," said De Lima.
