Panama's Atlantic coast draws in $1 billion investment
Panama's Atlantic coast attracted more than $1 billion in investment, largely due to the current Panama Canal expansion works.
The improved capacity of the canal will mean it will handle larger vessels, the main reason investors have targeted the Panama's Atlantic coast, particularly the Colon region.
Among the projects are Crown Construction's $105 million Logistic Park on Isla Margarita, and the $600 million Panama Colon Container Port, financed by an Asian conglomerate.
